Hose Down!

Today was super hot, around 35 degrees, and I was just getting cranky with children inside being naughty etc, so I put them on the trampoline and hosed them. It was therapeutic for me, and fun for them :-)! These primary school ages are hard to beat... wish it could be like this forever!

We Can Be Heroes ;-)

Annabelle is a really physical kid, and is a total daredevil. She also likes to be the clown and have people watching her or laughing at her. This is her on the trampoline showing me her potential in the acrobatics and ballet arena. I was not sure what to think, to be honest... ;-)

Poetry in Magnets, by Annie-Rose...

This is Annie-Rose reading out the words and the poetry she made up using the peace-magnets from Aunty Louise and co in the US. We love word fridge magnets, and these are especially good as they only have good-will type words to choose from! Thanks for the pressies, Pearses! XX

Marlin and Nemo :-)

Here is some filming of Ben and his brood. Ben is, and always been such a natural as a dad. We have had our ups and downs over the years, but he has had his heart in his children's well-being and happiness since day one :-) Here he is doing daggy dad stuff with them at the pool.

Annie can swim perfectly providing her feet can touch the ground - so here she is having a fit because it is 'deep'.... sigh! We shall get there!

Summer Rain

I really have to go out and get a proper video camera. I keep just using my little Sony camera, and it is neat, but has no real internal light mechanism. Anyways, I hope this turns out with enough light to see or at least sense how lovely and peaceful our house is on Summer evenings after a bit of rain...

Oh I love to be by the seaside...

Here is some more footage of us at the beach. We go to the beach a lot. I think we should just move to the beach and be done with it! I grew up on the coast of South Africa, and we spent most weekends at the beach in Scottburgh, which was always so wonderful. I would like us to perhaps move to the sunshine coast, but am not sure what kinds of academic and IT positions are available by the seaside... we shall see :-)

Washing Up Team!

I just had to film this, as it is really cool to see your 'babies' doing stuff you never thought they would be able to do! It is amazing to watch your children grow up, and even better when they grow up able to do good things and be helpful and responsible :-)

Trick or Treat!!!!

This year Halloween turned out to be kind of a big deal and the children did costumes, went around the neighbourhood trick or treating with Ben and also got to cut up a pumpkin and make a lantern out of it like they do in the U.S.

It was a fun night - lots of giggling and way too much sugar!!
